Wood and fire share a complex relationship; they have an affinity for each other that can be challenging to manage, making it difficult to keep them apart.
Making something from wood that holds a fire without burning the wood is always tricky.
Tealight candle holders are nice, especially during the holiday season. in 2021 December I made hundreds of these little candle holders using a laser machine. Poor thing was running non-stop, clogged the air filter many times, and filled up the workshop with that strong burned wood scent that I love so much...but sometimes enough is enough.
